Disclaimer: This training module does not cover how our Fire Rated Foams perform/work, although many of the base properties of expanding foam’s also apply to Gorilla Fire Rated Expanding Foam. Due to the technical nature of this range, it will be covered in a separate training module.

There are three main types of expanding foam:

1. PU Expanding Foam: Great all-round product, high yield, creates air seal, good thermal and acoustic rating, use in all expanding foam applications.
2. Flexible Expanding Foam: Super flexible and withstands heightened movement, making it a great choice for around windows and doors, those high slam areas. Has a higher acoustic rating than standard PU Foams.
3. MS Expanding Foam: Is based on MS technology rather than standard PU. New Zealand’s only isocyanate-free foam. Can be used in all standard expanding foam applications, green build compliant. More flexible than standard PU Foams.
